Hey friends and foodies,
This week Brenda and I talked about several things that I thought I should point out to you.
Obviously, Brenda is a big fan of Trader Joes, and well, if you live in the lower 48 states, then chances are you are within driving distance of a store so check it out. In fact, even if you can’t to a store that is close by, you can tune in to the new Trader Joes’s podcast that is now in Itunes.
Check out the reviews Brenda has written for some of her favorite products, like the Crunchy Cookie Butter, and the Cauliflower Gnocchi. She even has compiled a list of awesome Cookie Butter recipes that you can make using the product here.
Brenda also talked about loving her Scan Pan. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m on the lookout for a black Friday sale this November to see if I can get one. Brenda swears this is one of the best pans she’s used, so I’m taking her word for it.
Finally, Brenda talks about keeping your knives sharp. She took a class at Sur La Table and said it was a great investment towards increasing her culinary skills in the kitchen. A good knife skills class will give you the confidence to know how to chop up and slice most things. You won’t leave being able to chop up a carrot like you see most chefs do on television, but you learn how to take care of your knives and how to chop vegetables properly. I’ve taken several and they have significantly increased my confidence in the kitchen.
Finally, here is a link to the transcript.
